Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Seaside Sterling Epoxy Floors to do. When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean Seaside Sterling Epoxy Floors and our crew. When we say "you", we mean the person using this site or hiring us for a job.
By using this site, asking for a quote or booking work with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. If a signed estimate or contract for your job says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
We're a flooring contractor in Seaside, CA, working on concrete floors and coatings for homes and businesses in Seaside and the cities around it. Our work includes epoxy and polyaspartic coatings, polished and stained concrete, grinding and surface prep, sealing, resurfacing, overlays and related work. You can see the full list from our home page.
The exact work on your job is what's written in your estimate or contract. Anything not listed there isn't included unless we both agree to it in writing. The descriptions, photos and examples on this site are general and don't promise a particular look or result on your floor, because every slab is different.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, with no obligation. We look at the floor in person because the price depends on things we can only judge there, like the size of the area, the condition of the concrete, how much repair and grinding it needs, any old coating that has to come off, and the system and finish you pick.
An estimate is based on what we can see before the work starts. Once we grind or strip a floor, we sometimes find cracks, moisture, old adhesive or soft concrete that wasn't visible before. If that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and talk it through with you, and we won't do the added work until you approve it, in writing or another way we can both point back to.
Your estimate states how long its price holds. After that date, we may need to update it, since material costs and our schedule can change.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date and an expected timeline when you book. Coatings need the right temperature and humidity to cure properly, so we may move a date if conditions aren't right, if your concrete needs more time to dry, or for reasons outside our control like supply delays. We'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new date with you.
Before we arrive, please clear the area, give our crew access to the space, power and water, and keep people, pets and vehicles off the floor until we tell you it's ready. Using a floor before it has cured can damage the finish, and that damage isn't covered by our guarantee.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials for your job or set aside crew time, your estimate or contract may say what you owe for that.
Payment
Your estimate or contract states the price, any deposit, when each payment is due and the payment methods we take. Final payment is due when the work is done as written, unless your contract sets a different schedule.
If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until it's settled. We'll always reach out to you first and try to sort it out directly.
Our guarantee and its limits
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something isn't right with the work we did, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship. Any written warranty for your job, including how long it lasts, is stated in your contract.
Our guarantee doesn't cover problems that come from things outside our work. That includes moisture or movement in the concrete under the coating, settling or new cracks in the slab, damage from use before the floor cured, hot tires, heavy impacts, chemical spills, poor upkeep, or changes made by someone else. Materials also carry their maker's own warranty, which follows the maker's terms.
Apart from what's in your contract and our satisfaction guarantee, and to the extent California law allows, we don't make other promises about our work or this website, written or implied. Concrete is a natural material, so color, texture and small marks can vary across a floor, and that variation isn't a defect.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we take responsibility for our own work. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for indirect losses, like lost income, lost use of a space or the cost of moving things in or out, unless the law says otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under California law that can't be waived.
Using this website
We try to keep this site accurate and current, but the information on it is general and can change without notice. It isn't a quote and isn't advice for your specific floor. For that, we need to see the job.
The words, photos and design on this site belong to Seaside Sterling Epoxy Floors or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for business use without asking us. If we link to another website, we don't control it and aren't responsible for what it says.
When you send us a message through our contact form, you're agreeing that we can use what you send to reply to you and to quote your job.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first. Most issues are cleared up with a phone call or a visit, and we'd much rather fix something than argue about it.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us may ask for mediation, or bring the matter in small claims court if it qualifies. Any other case will be heard in the courts of Monterey County, California, unless the law requires a different place.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, because that's where we're based and where we work.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a job that's already under a signed contract, unless we both agree to them.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
